IEC Technical Committee (TC) 40, created in the mid-50s to tackle standardization in the emerging electronics sector, has had to face these challenges head on and adapt to the ever increasing pace of technological developments in the past 20 years or so.
TC 40 is now a leading committee in worldwide harmonization of National and Regional standards with IEC standards.
